Health and safety

Dogs should not be brought to the event if they are coughing or recently been in contact with any infectious diseases. It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure their dog is fit and healthy before racing. If in doubt, consult your vet.

No bitches in season are permitted to race, furthermore it is requested that they are kept clear of the race course.

Please listen to our race briefing and marshal instructions. If you have any concern about your dog or yourself during the race, please approach the nearest marshal and advise them of this. If you have any concerns about yourself or your dog prior to racing or after racing, please find one of the organisers and advise them accordingly.

Remember to allow plenty of time between feeding your dog and racing. Furthermore, allow your dog to drink little and often as required, but do not allow your dog to gulp water during the run or straight after. Please ensure they have a drink, but go back for more if healthy before racing.

We are fortunate to be supported by a number of great stallholders. Freckles Designs, the Happy Go Luck Dog Company, Loomi Active and Jodi Swanston all return this year. New this year is Clinical Canine Massage Therapist, Jen Holden. Please support them by buying from them all. All stallholders are supporting the raffle with a selection of prizes or vouchers.

Our charity this year is the incredible Therapet (managed by the Canine Concern Scotland Trust). We will be holding a raffle to raise funds for them and a member of the team will be able to answer questions.
