Cani-Sports Edinburgh Foxlake Race 2019

Foxlake Fun Races a Success!

We had a blast at our annual #canicross running races, held at Foxlake Adventures near Dunbar.

The event sold out in about ten days, not quite a record, but still good going for a race of this size (160 entrants).

We mixed up the route a bit, bringing runners onto the beach for the first time, and taking them running on a nice length of single track in the forest.

We hope the 150 or so runners and dogs enjoyed themselves. We know Rogue Dog did, and it was a welcome return to the race for our misbehaving mascot who completed the route as tail runner with Andy Kinnaird.

Our chosen charity this year was Therapet, and the raffle was so oversubscribed we ran out of tickets! Consequently, we raised £375 for Therapet, which is a great result. many thanks to everyone who dug deep and donated.

We had loads of stalls this year – many new to the event – and we are indebted to them all for getting behind our canicross community and helping with raffle and podium prizes. See here for more details.

See you next year! Meantime, here are some photographs (taken by marshal and committee member Craig Heaslip) to remind you of the day.
